London Photographer Bernie Greene

I’m planning a shoot or two in East Grinstead soon, as in this month. Location is not confirmed as yet so I’m not announcing it but it will be a cafe/restaurant like location. The session (s) will take place at night and possibly out of business hours so as not to disrupt the business.

The theme could loosely be described as Hollywood character scenes. I will need “stars” and “extras”. If you are up for it go and get on the casting calls list. Further announcements about this project will only be made by email to people on that list.

Feel free to suggest ideas for people or themes.

Ivana Pirochtova

Well my first casting call went ahead on Sunday evening.  On quite short notice, I only decided to do it on Friday evening, and in bitterly cold weather there was still one brave soul who turned out. Ivana. It was cold. We made about 10 shots and dived into a coffee shop on Regent Street. We ventured out a bit later and shot a few more but the cold was too much and we didn’t get much.

So I learned a few things anyway. First I need to travel lighter on these kinds of shoots. I had two heavy bags with me; one for the gear and the other my laptop.  Second that it would be a better idea to wait for warmer weather before doing outside shoots again. And third that I really like and admire Ivana. She has beauty, warmth and class, and is great fun to work with.
